With rumours that Cristiano Ronaldo is seeking a way out of Real Madrid gaining increased traction, Marca claims that coach Zinedine Zidane has made a desperate plea to the Portuguese superstar, attempting to persuade him to stay with the La Liga giants. A return to Manchester United is said to be Ronaldo’s preferred next move.

The Marco Verratti and PSG saga continues to intensify, with the Metro now reporting that the midfielder has told the club’s higher-ups that he will abstain from any preseason training if he is not sold. Both Barcelona and Premier League champions Chelsea are reportedly interested in his services.

The Guardian speculates that Chelsea will also increase their offers for Juventus defender Alex Sandro and Tiemoué Bakayoko of Monaco. A new bid of £55 million is expected for Sandro, with the new signings potentially vital to the Blues’ hopes of tying down Antonio Conte.

A move to Manchester City could be the desired option for Alexis Sanchez this transfer window, says the Daily Star. The Chilean is understood to be asking for an incredible £420,000-per-week to join Bayern Munich, trying to force Arsenal to accept a rival offer from the Sky Blues.

After a long period of negotiation, Liverpool are hopeful that a £35 million bid for Mohamed Salah will be enough to draw the Egyptian away from AS Roma according to the Mirror.
