Socceroos winger Robbie Kruse looks set to exit German giants Bayer Leverkusen this month with numerous reports suggesting a move away from the club.
Reports intensified after the 28-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, was left out of Leverkusen’s mid-season training camp in the United States.
Fox Sports’ Daniel Garb revealed Kruse is locked in negotiations with Chinese Super League club Liaoning Whowin, with the finer details of the deal still needing to be sorted.
Garb also reports that another unnamed Chinese club have put their hat into the ring for attacker, who has battled numerous injuries during his time in Europe.
German based media outlet Kicker is reporting China may not be the only possible destination for Kruse this month.
Their report claims the Socceroo has drawn interest from clubs in Major League Soccer, so he may be following his Leverkusen teammates to the US after all.
A move away from Europe should see Kruse presented with more first-team opportunities having made just the two appearances this season.
