AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is set to make a move to the Premier League in the summer according to reports.
The Daily Mirror has suggested the 22-year-old is set to reject the advances of Arsenal and Manchester United to link up with champions elect Chelsea.
Manager Antonio Conte is reported admirer of Bakayoko, who has been called into the French national team following an injury to United’s Paul Pogba.
Having seen a move for Roma’s Radja Nainggolan blocked last summer, with reports suggesting Bakayoko is now seen as the better option to the 28-year-old Belgian.
Bakayoko made the move to Monaco back in 2014 from French rivals Stade Rennes, having come through the ranks of the Ligue 1 club.
He was on the scoresheet in last week’s dramatic victory over Manchester City in the Champions League, which saw his side progress to the competition’s final eight teams.
In 36 appearances across all competitions this season, Bakayoko has registered just a single assist, finding the back of the net on three occasions.
The central midfielder is set to be joined by Monaco teammates Djibril Sidibe, Benjamin Mendy, Thomas Lemar and Kylian Mbappe in the French squad ahead of games against Luxembourg and Spain.
