Ibrahimovic: Manchester United are heading into a “decisive moment”

Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes the Red Devils are facing “a decisive moment” in their season.

United claimed a 3-0 victory over Saint Etienne, courtesy of a Zlatan Ibrahimovic hat-trick, in their Europa League round of 32 tie first leg, to all but confirm their place in the next round.

“We created good chances. It was important to get a good win at home and we bring it with us for the second leg,” Ibrahimovic told BT Sport.

“It was a good game, we played good collectively. I think we can do much more but we won the game and that’s the most important.”

United may be out of contention to win the Premier League, however, Ibrahimovic sees it as a positive that his side are still competing on four fronts.

“We’re happy at the moment. This is the decisive moment for the season and the second half of the season is the one which decides what will happen,” he added.

“That’s the objective; we’re still in four [competitions]. If we don’t win the Premier League we could get some other trophies and that’s good also.”

Next up for United is a clash with Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup on Monday morning AEDT.
