EuROOvision: Amini beats Mabil in Denmark play-off

Mustafa Amini‘s AGF Aarhus have battled past Awer Mabil‘s loan club Esbjerg in the Danish Superliga play-off rounds. With scores tied at 0-0 after the first leg, a home game for Esbjerg, AGF made the most of their home advantage to claim a 3-1 win.

Both Amini and Mabil enjoyed successful nights on a personal level, starting and seeing out the full 90 minutes.

AGF now play Viborg in the next round, with the loser to face the third-placed team from the First Division for the right to play in the top flight next season.

Esbjerg take on Horsens, and the loser of that match will play against the runners-up from the second tier.

Aaron Mooy netted a vital penalty as Huddersfield Town moved a step closer to the Premier League, beating Sheffield Wednesday 4-3 in a shootout at Hillsborough.
