Spanish newspaper AS is reporting Atletico Madrid have convinced star striker Antoine Griezmann to remain with the club beyond the conclusion of this season.
Griezmann has been the subject of consistent speculation linking him with a big-money, and potentially record-breaking, transfer to Manchester United in the summer.
But the publication reports the 25-year-old is fed up of having to reiterate his commitment to Atletico, where he is settled.
It is also reported Griezmann is pleased with manager Diego Simeone’s confirmation that he will carry on as Rojiblancos coach at least one season into their tenure at their new venue.
Some reports have gone as far to suggest the Frenchman will receive wages akin to those of countryman Paul Pogba at the Red Devils.
Griezmann, who joined Atletico from Real Sociedad for €30 million in 2014, still has five years left to run on his current contract.
Since joining the club, he has scored 56 goals in 100 appearances and has become a regular with France.
He marked his centurion match at the weekend against Valencia with a brace.
