It was back to reality for Nathan Burns after he was called into the Socceroos squad to replace the injured James Jeggo.

Having returned to the FC Tokyo midweek, Burns was dropped for the clash with Kawasaki Frontale, as Tokyo ran away 3-0 winners.

Former Central Coast Mariner Mitch Duke played the final six minutes of Shimizu S-Pulse’s 3-2 loss to Kashima Antlers, as Mu Kanazaki’s 85th minute strike handed the visitors all three points.

Defender Milos Degenek got through another 90 minutes for Yokohama F.Marinos as they drew 1-1 with Albirex Niigata.

Across to South Korea, where Connor Chapman was not included in the matchday squad for Incheon United’s scoreless draw with Jeonbuk FC.

It was the battle of the Aussies in the K-League Challenge, South Korea’s second tier, as Adrian Leijer and Bruce Djite’s Suwon FC travelled to take on Dario Vidosic and Seongnam.

Suwon came out on top with a 1-0 victory as a second minute strike from Sang-Min Seo handed the visitors all three points.

Former Melbourne Victory captain Leijer got through the full 90 minutes, while Djite entered the fray shortly after half-time, later picking up a yellow card,

Meanwhile Vidosic played the final 25 minutes having come off the bench for Kim De-Heon.
