FC Barcelona great Andres Iniesta says he is not worried about renewing his contract with the Catalan giants, choosing to focus on their short-term aspirations.
Iniesta has chalked up 403 games for Barca since 2002 and is due to become a free agent at the conclusion of the 2017-18 season.
The 32-year-old is opting not to think about his own future, but says he will depart the club if he feels unwanted.
“Everyone can guess but I have been clear about this (contract renewal),” Iniesta said.
“Now the only thing I am worried about is our title aims.
“After the season we will see both personally and the club’ side and that’s it.
“I am not saying I won’t renew my contract. I want to finish my career here, but that will be decided by my performances on the pitch and my feelings.
“I won’t stay here if I am not important for the club. That’s clear.”
Barca are currently second in La Liga behind Real Madrid, who hold a two-point lead on their fierce rivals.
Los Blancos have one game in hand.
