Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti says he will field the strongest team possible for Bayern Munich’s Champions League round of 16 second leg against Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday.
The Bavarians hold a firm grip on the tie’s ascendancy having dominating the first leg at Allianz Arena, notching a comprehensive 5-1 win.
The Gunners require either a 4-0 win or victory by five goals or more to progress to the last eight.
But despite the result appearing to be in safe hands, the Italian boss insists he will not take his foot off the pedal when it comes to team selection.
A number of Bayern stars are in doubt, but Ancelotti revealed positive rulings in most cases with only Jerome Boateng to miss the game.
“I always try and choose the best team. I don’t know if Thomas (Muller) will play, but I do know he will be important for us,” Ancelotti said.
“(Douglas) Costa is fit.
“Everyone is fit apart from Boateng who stayed behind in Munich, but he’ll be with us next week.
“He (Manuel Neuer) has a minor back problem and needs some treatment at the hotel.
“But he’ll 100% play.”
